Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

I received this product as part of the Oz: The Great and Powerful Theodora Palette, which also includes a lipgloss crayon. I am going to review this product as a whole, even though I only have it in one shade.
This looks like a standard eyeliner pencil, but the design is a lot nicer looking. The majority of them have the silver lid, but I have noticed that a couple of the shades have a different colour lid. Each barrel of each pencil is a different colour, to clearly show the colour of each shade. Zero is a soft black shade and it is not the darkest black Urban Decay do. This shade is part of the regular line and mine is the 0.8g sample size, the full sized product is 1.2g. Like the majority of pencil eyeliners, you have to sharpen it to dispense more product and the formula is smooth and creamy.
This eyeliner is supposed to be creamy, long lasting, waterproof, highly pigmented and velvety soft. It is also said to contain moisturising ingredients, which makes it very safe for use on the waterline and tightline. If you want to smudge the eyeliner you need to do it within thirty seconds because after that it should be dry and smudge-proof.

I have actually already got this eyeliner in a sample size from my Vegan Palette and I wasn’t very impressed with it when I first tried it. But seeing as though I got it again with the Oz Palette, I thought I would give it another chance and I have actually changed my mind. This product is creamy, soft in texture and quite pigmented. It is long lasting on the waterline and tightline and it doesn’t irritate my eyes, so it is safe to use there. It also lasts a while on the eyelid and I would say that it is waterproof, but it does smudge on me by the end of the day, but I find most eyeliners do that anyway. I’m not sure if I can really say that it is completely budge-proof but I do agree that you need to work quick to smudge it if you want to before it dries

Overall this is a really good product and I use it mostly for my waterline and tightline. The only issues I have was when I first started to use the two I own, I found they were too creamy for me to use properly, but since then I have had no problems. The other issue I have is that they are quite expensive for an eyeliner, but they are very enticing because they come in a variety of shades. Although I am not keen on the price, I can’t promise I won’t be suckered into buying another one in the future, but in a bright colour.

Jouer Skinny Dip Palette

I first saw this palette when Jouer released their Skinny Dip make-up collection and I nearly bought it, but I changed my mind because I already have a million palettes. As you can see, I have changed my mind again and I am very glad that I did. The packaging is quite compact. It is made out of reflective foil gold cardboard and the typography is simple. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift to reveal a small rectangular mirror on one side and then the six eyeshadow pans on the other. The shade names are written underneath each pan. You get six ultra-foil shimmer eyeshadows in blinding shades with a net weight of 7.5g. The sixth shade is actually described as more of a glitter shade. STAR LIGHT - platinum BIKINI - champagne pink SKINNY DIP - champagne gold TAN LINES - antique bronze MAGIC HOUR - warm taupe MIDNIGHT SWIM - cocoa bronze The eyeshadows should be highly pigmented, have an intense shimmery and metallic finish, be long wearing and cre

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up

Wake Me Up Foundation I bought this after seeing the advertisement for it on Rimmel’s Facebook, and I thought the description sounded perfect for me. The packaging is made of glass and it has a curved shape, with the Rimmel logo and product name printed in the centre on a bit of plastic tape. The cap is a slanted block shape made of plastic and it is a bright orange colour with glitter sparkle. This product has an orange plastic pump, which dispenses the product. All the relevant information is printed on the back, like most products. It is also packaged in a plastic wrapper, with a security tag. This product is marketed as a foundation that “instantly reawakens skin, with a healthy, radiant glow”. It is also mean’t to be light weight and give a poreless and flawless complexion. It also contains SPF15 for sun protection and illuminating pearls, which is mean’t to give your face a natural glow. It is also mean’t to “bounce your skin back to life” and banish the signs of fat
